The Belmont Vision won first place for its television newscast and college media website at the Tennessee Associated Press College Awards on Saturday.
The Vision took home five awards overall for its work in 2017, competing against other colleges and universities across the state of Tennessee.
Those awards included first for TV Newscast — awarded for the October edition of Vision News Network — and first for College Media Website, as well as three awards for individual student work.
Caitlin Alexander won second place for Television Reporter.
Zach Gilchriest won second place for Online Investigative/In-Depth Reporting.
Harrison Baldwin won second place for Online Multimedia Journalist.
