Meet the new Bruin: Dennis Kluba

Freshman center midfielder Dennis Kluba is no stranger to the game of soccer.

“Since I was five or six I’ve been on at least a rec team, and then just kept moving up through the system,” said Kluba.

Even though Kluba has been playing for a while, he wants to continue as long as possible.

“I love the freedom and creativity that you’re allowed inside the game, and it’s something that I’ve always been good at,” he said. “I want to keep doing it as long as I can.”

Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Klubba chose to continue his soccer career at Belmont because of Coach Bryan Green and the rest of the staff.

“I really liked the coaching staff here and the guys when I came to visit. It felt like the right fit for me,” he said.

What drew Kluba to Belmont went beyond liking the style of play on the soccer team.

“Everybody here is very open and supportive of each other and all the different kind of passions and things that they do,” he said. “Everybody seems to support what each other does. I like that.”

Kluba wears the No. 6 for the soccer team.
