Cross-country runner Kaleb McLeod is originally from Soperton, Georgia.
Being from a small town, McLeod is still trying to adjust to the city atmosphere in Nashville.
“It’s different, but I’m getting used to it,” said McLeod.
Since coming to Belmont, McLeod changed the distances he runs.
“Instead of running a 5k like we do in high school, we do an 8k or 10k,” said McLeod.
Although it’s a big move for him, he has experienced success in the past so he’s ready for the challenge.
“I won state all four years in high school,” said McLeod.
The city environment is different to him, but he has a close team to rely on for guidance. He definitely considers them his favorite part of his college experience.
“The team aspect, we’re all really close we’re all friends,” he said.
McLeod plans on majoring in general business and hopes to finish out the fall season with a conference title.
