Freshman Kyle Conger started playing baseball between the ages of 3 and 4 when his parents signed him up for tee ball.
“My dad kind of wanted me to get going in sports and baseball was kind of my favorite,” said Conger.
Conger, from Brentwood, Tenn., now wears number 34 as an infielder for the Belmont baseball team.
For Conger, coming to Belmont was the logical decision considering the proximity to home and he already knew some of his teammates.
“I thought it was my best opportunity,” said Conger.
When he is not playing baseball or doing school work, Conger likes playing his Xbox, watching Netflix and staying athletic.
“I like doing other pick-up sports,” said Conger.
Although the infielder has not yet determined a major, he is considering something regarding business.
“It could be finance or marketing or something like that. I’m going to take some time to figure that out.”
