Belmont senior nursing major Michael Ray Poole will be remembered at a memorial service on campus Monday.
Poole, who was in the bachelor’s program in nursing, died last week.
He is survived by Christina Poole, his wife of three years and a Belmont graduate student, and his and his wife’s parents.
The memorial service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at MPAC. The family suggests that those who wish to make a memorial gift contribute to the School of Nursing Scholarship Fund.
In a campus-wide email, Todd Lake, vice president of spiritual development, said that Poole’s organs were used in seven transplants late last week, and his organ and tissue donations ultimately will help more than 50 people.
