If you’re having trouble finding the right date at Belmont, or if you just want some convo credit, then Meet Auction Nov. 30 in the Neely Dining Hall,  might just be what you’re looking for.

There will be between 15 and 20 single male Belmont students up for auction from 4 to 6 p.m., and each one will have an introduction followed by the sharing of their chosen talent. The diverse group of guys includes a member of the Bruins soccer team, a math major, and even a volunteer firefighter.

A short presentation about safe dating practices given by members of Kids on the Block will kick off the night before the auction begins.

The proceeds from the night’s bidding will be donated to Kids on the Block – a youth non-profit that focuses on educating children and young people about health and social issues. The local chapter of Kids on the Block is a part of the larger student-focused program STARS-Nashville, and reached about 40,000 children in the 2008-2009 school year from kindergarten through sixth grades in Middle Tennessee.
