Belmont Vision places top three for College Media Website from Associated Press of Tennessee

The Belmont Vision placed in the top three in nine categories at the Tennessee Associated Press awards that were set to take place on April 25 but have been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Steven Boero and Abigail Bowen won the TV sports coverage/program category with “Belmont Basketball Host Schedule Release Parties.”

The Vision placed in the top three in eight other categories. The announcement date of the first second and third place winners has not yet been set, according to the Tennessee AP Awards website.

The Vision staff also placed in the top three for college media website.

Abigail Bowen placed in the top three for videographer and TV newscast. She also placed in the top three along with Madison Bowen and Justin Wagner for TV feature story.

Caitlin Alexander and Ben Sherrill placed in the top three for television reporter. They also both placed in the top three for TV sports reporting.

Marissa Avnaim placed in the top three for TV specialized reporting.

Steven Boero placed in the top three for online sports reporting.
