BREAKING: Jailyn Banks to Enter Transfer Portal

Women's basketball guard Jailyn Banks announced her plans to enter the transfer portal on her social media.


"I'm incredibly blessed and appreciative for the last three years I have spent at Belmont. My teammates, coaches, the training staff and the fans have welcomed me with open arms and supported me throughout the last three years," the post read.


The Spring Hill, Tennessee native was Belmont's leader in points per game this season, averaging 15.4 an outing.


She played in 24 games this season and started in all of them, averaging 3.5 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game.


She was named to the 2025-26 All-Missouri Valley Conference Second Team and the 2025 WBIT All-Tournament Team.


She was also named to the MVC All-Freshman Team and was a 6-time MVC freshman of the week in the 2023-24 season.


Banks is the first Belmont's women's basketball player to announce plans to enter the transfer portal.


She has one more year of eligibility.
