Another Belmont men’s basketball transfer has picked his new home for the 2024-25 basketball season.

Malik Dia committed to Ole Miss University on Monday, according to On3 Sports on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The announcement did not mention whether Dia would still undergo the NBA Draft Process.

At Belmont, Dia averaged 16.9 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists, being named to the All-MVC Third Team and MVC All-Newcomer Team.

Now, he once again returns to the Southeastern Conference, having played for Vanderbilt University his freshman year.

At Ole Miss, Dia joins a loaded frontcourt while having access to the university’s The Grove Collective, which surpassed over $10 million, although that collective is used for mostly football reasons.

Dia is the third Belmont player to announce his next destination, joining Ja’Kobi Gillespie, who committed to Maryland with a reported two-year, $750,000 name, image and likeness deal, and Kyler Vanderjagt, who returned back home to play for Central Michigan.

The only player from Belmont in the transfer portal who has yet to announce his next move is Cade Tyson, who visited the University of Tennessee and has a scheduled visit with the University of North Carolina.
