BREAKING: Sanaa Tripp to Enter Transfer Portal

Sophomore guard Sanaa Tripp has announced her plans to enter the transfer portal.

"I want to genuinely thank my coaches, teammates and Bruin fans for their amazing support and love along the way," she said in a social media post. "The relationships I've built and the memories I've made are something I will cherish forever."

She averaged 7.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.4 steals per game this season.

Tripp saw a massive increase in playing time this season, 11.5 more minutes per game and making her first eight career starts.

She had a career-high 25 points in a January matchup against University of Northern Iowa this season.

She is the second Belmont women's basketball player to announce plans to enter the portal, following Jailyn Banks' announcement Sunday.

She has two more years of eligibility.
