Family, friends and sorority sisters gathered at the Bell Tower to honor DeEbony Groves on the one year anniversary of her death on Monday.

Groves was killed at the Antioch Waffle House shooting on April 22, 2018. She was a senior social work major and a member of the Delta Sigma Theta sorority.
“We gather together to remember the life that was tragically cut short — DeEbony Groves,” said University Minister Heather Daugherty in prayer. “But as we grieve we also give thanks. We thank you for her life, and the joy she brought to all who knew her.”
