Homecoming week kicks off Monday morning
Beginning on Monday, Belmont welcomes back its alumni for Homecoming Week 2019.
The week includes the seventh annual alumni concert, men’s and women’s basketball doubleheaders and the annual homecoming social.
Other events such as the Massey College of Business homecoming mixer, the College of Health Sciences continuing education event and the Belmont faithful thank you luncheon will give alumni opportunities to further reconnect and celebrate their time at Belmont.
Students are also invited to participate in homecoming, with events like the basketball tailgate and the Polar Bear 5K Fun Run.
Below is an overview of the week’s events. Asterisks indicate events where convocation credit is available.
Mission Monday: – *Mission Monday Chapel — Belmont alumni will share their stories of faith and education. (10 a.m. in the Janet Ayers Academic Center Chapel) – *Alumni Non-Profit Fair — Belmont alumni who own non-profit organizations will share their experiences with alumni, students, faculty and staff (10 a.m. – 12 p.m. in the Beaman Student Life Center Meeting Rooms A&B) – Pack the Pantry Discount — Bring a canned food item to Harrington Dining Place and eat lunch for $6, or donate three canned food items at the Belmont store for a 30 percent discount. – SAPB Trivia Night (6-8 p.m. in the Beaman A&B)
T-Shirt Tuesday: – Student Org T-Shirt Day — students are encouraged to wear shirts representing their student organizations all day. – Homecoming T-Shirt Giveaway — Bring a gently used clothing item to donate and receive a 2019 Homecoming T-shirt. Sodexo will also be giving out cookies. (9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. in the Gabhart Student Center) – College of Law Faculty Scholarship CLE (9:45 a.m.-4:00 p.m. at the Baskin Center) –*Past, Present, Future: Art Alumni Exhibition Gallery Talk & Reception — art and design alumni showcase their work (4-6 p.m. at the Leu Art Gallery in the Lila D. Bunch Library) – Belmont baseball vs. Southern Illinois (4 p.m. at E.S. Rose Park) – Networking Event for Law CLE Attendees (4:15-6 p.m. at Mafiaoza’s)

Rose Park) – Belmont women’s basketball vs. Eastern Illinois (5 p.m. at the Curb Event Center) – Belmont men’s basketball vs. Eastern Illinois (7 p.m. at the Curb Event Center)
FANtastic Friday: – Belmont Polar Bear Run 5K (6:30 a.m. starting at the Beaman) – *Homecoming Chapel — Gina Miller from the class of 1998 will host Friday morning’s chapel (10 a.m. in the JAAC Chapel) – Students showing school spirit around campus will have the chance to win prizes from the Bruin Prize Patrol – Belmont baseball vs. Bradley (4 p.m. at E.S. Rose Park) – Homecoming in the Round — the seventh annual homecoming concert will feature alumni songwriters and artists. (7 p.m. at the Massey Performing Arts Center)
Saturday: – College of Health Sciences Continuing Education Event (8:30 a.m. – noon, JAAC 4094) – Decade Reunion Brunch — alumni from all decades are invited to reconnect over brunch (8:30-10:30 a.m. at Harrington Place) – Honors Program Reunion & Brunch (8:30-10:30 a.m. at Harrington Place) – Tower Society Reunion, Annual Brunch and Induction Ceremony — alumni from 1959-1969 are invited for a reunion of several classes.
