Student-founded company Innovo Management is kicking off spring by giving back, hosting a concert to benefit the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital on April 8.
Belmont sophomore and Innovo’s head of booking Alyson Estes has been working with the Innovo team on the event every day since planning began in December 2015.
“I started off booking benefit shows for To Write Love On Her Arms when I was 15. I’ve always been really passionate about booking benefit shows and giving back,” Estes said. “Innovo Management is all about giving back to the community, so it makes sense to put both our passions together.”
The lineup will include all Nashville locals, including Arcs & Stones, The New Schematics, The Pressure Kids, The Civics and Kate Kelly, who will kick off the concert.
The goal for the event is to maximize the amount of money Innovo is able to give to the hospital with a packed house of around 300 attendees, Estes said.
“We wanted to pick a benefit that impacts Nashville directly. The children’s hospital is right next to Belmont where the team goes to school. Every day when I leave campus, I see the logo for the hospital and am reminded of how important it is. We also realized quickly that a lot of people we know have been impacted by the hospital,” Estes said.
Innovo is also hosting a contest in congruence with the concert, encouraging people to share that they plan to attend the event on their social media accounts. Prizes include gift cards, band merchandise and free entrance to an Innovo show.
The concert will be held at 12th & Porter and will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets for the event are available by presale or at the door for $7 each. For more information, visit the event’s Facebook page here.
