Jonathan Tyler and the Northern Lights to play 12th and Porter

It’s about time Rock ‘n’ Roll came back with some soul.

Jonathan Tyler and the Northern Lights bring out their Southern roots background in their blues- rock music, appropriate for a Nashville show.

“Maybe it’s been too long since Rock ‘n’ Roll turned you on,” he sings during the title track “Pardon Me.”

Their music is a passionate blend of blues, soul and rock, like a Bob Seger and Foo Fighters’ love child.

Tyler and the band entice the audience to get into raw, but rich sound. In 2010 alone, they played SXSW, Bonnaroo, Voodoo Fest and Summerfest.

Jonathan Tyler and the Northern Lights will be at 12th and Porter April 20.
