Freshman Alex Ward has been playing baseball since he was 3 years old.
Ward liked Belmont for reasons other than it’s baseball team.
“I like the coaching staff a lot and it’s close to home and I’ve always loved Nashville,” said Ward.
Ward is from Murfreesboro, Tenn. and currently wears number 30 for Belmont’s baseball team.
On the field, he can be seen pitching or playing infield.
When Ward isn’t studying or playing baseball, he likes to participate in other sport activities.
To relax, Ward enjoys playing video games and watching Netflix.
Like many freshmen, Ward has not yet decided on a major.
“I’ll probably do biology because I think I want to be a vet,” said Ward.
