Meet the new Bruin: Alyssa Anderson

After competing in both basketball and track at Drury University, Belmont freshman Alyssa Anderson decided it was time to be closer to family.

“I decided it was time to be with family and to do what I really love, which is track, along with graphic design,” said Anderson.

Anderson is excited to be at the same school as her twin brother who is a music business major.

Anderson began competing in track and field at the age of 12 and can be seen throwing the javelin, discus and the hammer.

When Anderson is not on the track, she loves to longboard and watch movies.

Anderson’s favorite part about Belmont is the Christian, musical atmosphere.

“I love how it is so uplifting with people singing and playing instruments,” said Anderson.

Catch Anderson on the track this spring competing for the Bruins.
