It Must Be Wednesday returned to Freedom Plaza offering both community and free coffee to Belmont students.

The event featured booths set up by various student organizations, offices and local businesses. The Student Activity Programming Board event is a staple of some students' Belmont experience.

“I look forward to it… I've been coming since I was a freshman,” said junior Elsie Dillman.

With a coffee in hand and friends by her side, she said that meeting people at It Must Be Wednesday is the most important part of the event.

“I'm here for all the people… it's like a big sense of community,” said Dillman.

This sentiment was echoed by student organizer Olivia Upton.

“It really brings people together. It gives a chance to have a break between classes, get some coffee, hang out with their friends, and also connect with local organizations,” said Upton.

The event will continue to host pop-up vendors and offer fun for students almost every Wednesday from 9:30-11 a.m.
