Belmont students enjoyed the first Friday of the spring semester with a snow day, after classes were cancelled just before noon.
The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency declared a state of emergency late Friday afternoon, after snowfall and inclement weather across western and middle Tennessee made driving conditions dangerous.
While Belmont didn’t get hit with the worst of the snowfall, students took the opportunity to get outside and enjoy the weather — which hasn’t hit campus in quite the same way since January of 2016.
