The Belmont women’s basketball team kicked off the 2017-2018 home season with a huge 74-42 win over Fort Wayne Wednesday night in the Curb Event Center.
Senior Sally McCabe led the Bruins with 18 points and 12 rebounds, earning her first double-double of the season.
Junior Darby Maggard led the team with six assists.
The Wednesday night victory over Fort Wayne also marked the first home win for the new head coach of the women’s team, Bart Brooks.
Catch the Bruins when they return to the Curb Event Center Tuesday, Nov. 22 to take on Samford.
