Pilgrimage Music and Cultural Festival in Franklin this weekend will host an array of popular artists from Willie Nelson to Weezer, and college students are eligible for a near 30 percent ticket discount.
“When you’re on campus it’s kind of a bubble,” event founder Kevin Griffin said. “Music is an identity in college.”
The student discount shows how much festival organizers want college students to come out.
“Even if you’ve seen the artists before, you’re going to see lots of acoustic sets or partly acoustic sets and never before seen collaborations,” Griffin said.
The festival will run from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The daylong festival format is meant to allow attendees to experience events at night in Franklin.
