VIDEO: MBB, WBB prepare for OVC Tournament

The Belmont men’s and women’s basketball teams gear up for the 2015 Ohio Valley Conference Tournament which starts for the Bruins on Thursday at Municipal Auditorium in Nashville.

Women’s Basketball

The women’s team holds the No. 4 seed and will face No. 5 Jacksonville State on Thursday at 1 p.m. The Bruins swept the Gamecocks in the regular season, and the two teams met in the conference tournament last year.

Men’s Basketball

The men’s team holds the No. 3 seed in the tournament and will face the winner of Eastern Illinois and SIU-Edwardsville on Thursday. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. If the team wins, they will advance to semifinals to play Eastern Kentucky. The Colonels defeated the Bruins in the championship match in 2014.
