Maggard scored her 400th career 3-pointer in the first half, becoming only the fifth player to do so in NCAA Division I history.

She scored 20 points in the first half alone, hitting four straight 3-pointers in the first quarter. Maggard would end her night shooting 7-13 from the arch, as well as picking up 7 assists.

The Bruins started off hot and went on a 12-0 run within the first 2 minutes of the game.

EIU didn’t show much fight for the rest of the night. The Panthers top scorers, Karle Pace and Taylor Steele, both scored 13 points. All other players failed to score double digits.

Belmont, on the other hand, had five players score in double digits.

Juniors Ellie Harmeyer and Maura Muensterman played spectacular games, scoring from all over the court. Harmeyer scored 16 points and picked up 5 rebounds. Muensterman scored 15.

Senior Jenny Roy dropped 12 points and picked up 6 rebounds and 5 assists.

Redshirt freshman Conley Chinn earned her first career double double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

The Bruins improved its conference record to 14-1 which guarantees the team at least a tie for the conference regular season championship.

If Belmont beats Southern Illinois University Edwardsville at the Curb Event Center on Saturday, the Bruins will clinch their third straight conference regular season championship.
