The Nashville Ballet will bring pirouettes and plies and when they present their new work, which is based on Anne Frank’s “Diary of a Young Girl.” The book, which Girl,” which most of us read in high school, is about a Jewish girl and her family and their struggle to hide from the Nazis in World War II. The special thing about this dance adaptation of the story is that it has original music by Belmont’s very own professor of music, Mark Volker. The event is 7-9:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, in Troutt Theatre. Culture and arts Convo credit is available. — Greta Crouch
