Acuff to speak at Career and Calling Week

Best-selling financial and Christian author Jon Acuff will be the keynote speaker at University Ministries’ Career and Calling Week next week.

Acuff, the author of “Quitter” and “Stuff Christians Like,” will speak four times in three days starting Monday as part of the program co-sponsored by the Office of Career Development, Center for Entrepreneurship, Growth and Purpose for Students (GPS) and Student Activities.

The Dave Ramsey Show and CNN.com contributor will talk at the event typically themed around students’ future plans and goals.

He will speak about “Letting Go of Our Boring God, and Daring to Dream” at Monday at 10 a.m at Neely Black and White Dining Hall and about “Punching Fear in the Face” at Monday at 7 p.m at the same venue. His Tuesday lecture about “Escaping Average” will be at 7 p.m. in Neely, his Wednesday lecture about “Doing Work that Matters” will be at 10 a.m in MPAC.

Christian Faith and Development convo will be offered at each lecture.
