Belmont Spider-Man Knows Anything a Spider-Fan Can
Anyone can wear the mask, but not everyone knows the story behind it.
Belmont Spider-Man is more than a student playing dress-up. His knowledge of the web-slinger spans movies, comics, villains and alternate versions of the character, all of which shape the Spider-Man Belmont students see swinging around campus.
His suit is modeled after Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, featuring the character’s latest live-action look revealed in “Spider-Man: Brand New Day.”
And just like his suit, his portrayal leans towards Holland’s.
While he takes inspiration from Holland’s iteration, another actor takes the crown as his favorite Spider-Man.
“Honestly, I got to say my favorite’s Andrew,” Belmont Spider-Man said. “His movies didn’t get a ton of love, but I gotta give love to him as an actor. Great portrayal.”
With characters from Batman to the Joker appearing around Belmont, Spider-Man would love to see even more costumed characters join him.
As for which Spider-Man villain he would like to see on campus, he already has an opponent in mind.
“Honestly, No. 1’s Chameleon,” he said. “Never got to see Chameleon in live action. I'd love to see him in person.”
Chameleon made his full live-action appearance in 2024’s “Kraven the Hunter,” but Spidey stuck to his guns.
“There’s a reason I said we haven't seen him in live action…that one hardly counts,” he said.
Whether or not Chameleon shows up on campus, the web-slinger has an idea of who he would love to team up with on campus.
“My favorite team-up has always been Spider-Man and Daredevil,” he said. “If there's a Belmont Daredevil out there, I would love to make it happen.”
While Belmont Spider-Man has ideas for where the character can go, his favorite comic takes him back to where it all began. His favorite is “Amazing Fantasy” No. 15, the comic that introduced the character to readers.
