Meet the new Bruin: Jessi Boozer

Belmont freshman Jessi Boozer has been around soccer from a young age and has grown to love the game.

“I started playing when I was 4 and as I got older I realized I really loved it,” said Boozer. “I started travel soccer when I was 8 and kept going from there.”

Boozer played high school soccer at nearby Brentwood High where she was an All-District selection three times and an All-State selection her senior year.

The proximity to Brentwood, Tennessee was a major influence on Boozer’s decision to attend Belmont.

“I’m a big family person,” said Boozer. “I feel like if I were any farther, I’d get homesick.”

When she has free time, Boozer likes to play guitar, sing and hang out with friends.

Boozer can be seen playing midfield for the Bruins in home games at Rose Park. Catch Boozer and the rest of the women’s soccer team Sept. 4 against Valparaiso.
