Hailing all the way from Eden Prairie, Minnesota is men’s soccer defenseman, Sean Bernabo.
Bernabo was an athletic kid from the start playing two sports, but when it came time to focus on one, he chose soccer.
“I played hockey and soccer together, but I knew I was better at soccer and could pursue it longer,” said Bernabo.
While balancing two sports in high school, Bernabo played for Minnesota Thunder Academy, a U.S. Soccer Development Academy. The academy is considered one of the top programs for youth soccer players in the United States.
Bernabo is thankful to his parents for always supporting him, whether it’s at the games or watching the games online and calling after.
Bernabo’s training and love for the game has led him to Belmont, where he studies business administration with a minor in finance.
Look out for No. 19 on the field who scored his first collegiate while in the road in Buffalo on Sept. 30.
