A member of the softball team, Taylor Hodge is a freshman biology major from Knoxville, Tenn.
She loves hiking, playing with her two dogs at home and watching baseball.
Her favorite book is “Kisses from Katie,” the true story of a Nashville teen who went to Uganda to adopt 13 children.
The outfielder is excited about the amount of success the softball team has seen within the past few weeks. It’s exciting to be “on the rise,” she said.
Softball and baseball were always important parts of her family growing up. Both her father and grandfather played baseball, and she and her siblings all started T-ball around 4 or 5 years old.
Hodge has always been inspired by her dad.
“We have similar goals and personalities,” she said.
Both her parents have been huge supporters of her softball college career.
“They come to all of my games, no matter where they are,” she said. “We played nine hours away in Alabama and they drove there and surprised me.”
