Nashville’s best holiday activities

December is here, which means it’s officially socially acceptable to play Christmas music and deck the halls! We love Christmas at Belmont – the concert and the season – so here are some of the best things to do in Nashville for the holidays.

Christmas movies at The Franklin Theater — The historic Franklin Theater, located in downtown Franklin, is playing all of your favorite Christmas movies through Dec. 16.

Holiday Lights at Cheekwood — One million lights — literally — light up the Cheekwood Gardens. You’ll be instantly transported to a twinkling winter wonderland!

Drive-thru Dancing Lights of Christmas — If you want to see the lights but don’t want to brave the cold, just stay in your car! This drive-thru light show in Lebanon is the perfect opportunity for some Christmas carpool karaoke with your friends.

Gaylord Opryland’s “A Country Christmas” — Country music fans, this one’s for you. Take a walk around the Gaylord Opryland Hotel complete with Christmas trees galore, millions of lights, and plenty of country music. You can even take a trip around the block to Opry Mills and knock out some holiday shopping.

Elf Trivia Night at The Soda Parlor: Dec. 12 — The Soda Parlor in East Nashville is famous for its trivia nights, so it’s only fitting that they have a Christmas event! Enjoy delicious treats while you battle against your friends.

Drew and Ellie Holcomb’s Neighborly Christmas at the Schermerhorn: Dec. 17 and 22 — The Holcombs will perform a mix of Christmas songs an originals at this annual event.

Ice Skating at Centennial Sportsplex — Ice skating offers the perfect opportunity for a cute and embarrassing “holidate.” And it only costs $5!
