Photo Story: Track and Field completes its first Missouri Valley Conference Championships


Tyra Finkeldey tied for second place in pole vault, clearing a height of 3.95m.

To end its indoor season, Belmont track and field traveled to Chicago, Illinois to compete in its first Missouri Valley Conference Championships.


Women's Track and Field tied for sixth place, setting four program records while the men's side finished seventh as the Bruins were able to face off against the Valley's best inside the the Dr. Conrad Worrill Track and Field Center at Gately Park.

Ian Robertson began action for the men in the heptathlon where he secured a sixth place finish with a personal best 4,465 points.

Ireland Crowther began action for the women in the pentathlon where she secured first place in her heat of 60m hurdles.

Cross country standout Kaitlyn Vanderkolk broke her previous program record in the 3000m with a time of 9:40.85.


High jumper Noah Grimm finished in sixth place, clearing 2.02m.


Brooke Garter secured fifth in the mile and was a member of the distance medley relay team that set a program record in 11:56.13.


Nick Bazzoni earned ninth in pole vault by clearing 4.45m.

Throws star Rebekah Stucker set a school record in shot put, throwing 14.77m.


All smiles for Emma García Palencia after she clinched third place in the pentathlon with a program record 3,525 points.
