A walk-off single from senior William Dodd in the 10th inning captured a 7-6 win for the Belmont baseball team over SIU-Edwardsville on Saturday afternoon at E.S Rose Park.
Belmont forced the game into extra innings after tying the game with two runs in both the eighth and ninth innings. Dodd’s single brought in sophomore Nick Egli for the game-winning run.
With the win, Belmont took home the series against SIUE and improved to 8-3 in conference play. The Bruins return to action on Monday against Memphis with first pitch set for 4 p.m.
