A record 5,266-person crowd filled the Curb Event Center Monday night to watch the Belmont men’s basketball team defeat the Vanderbilt Commodores 69-60 in the team’s 2017-2018 season home-opener.
Junior Dylan Windler led the Bruins with 24 points and 11 rebounds, while senior Amanze Egekeze trailed closely behind with 22 points and seven rebounds.
The Bruins will return home on Saturday to take on Houston Baptist.
