The Belmont Bruins defeated the Jacksonville State Gamecocks 77-60 at home Thursday night.
The Bruins maintained their winning streak with their eighth straight win. Junior Amanze Egekeze led the Bruins with six 3-pointers and a total of 26 points, a career record, and 10 rebounds. Senior Evan Bradds was right behind Egekeze with 24 points and 13 rebounds.
Jacksonville State’s Norbertas Giga, a junior, and Ashton Spears, freshman, both lead their team with 10 points each.
The Bruins play at home on Saturday with a double header. The men play at 11 a.m. and the women’s team plays at 1 p.m.
