According to a report from the Tennessean, Belmont has hired Cameron Newbauer as Brittney Ezell’s replacement to take charge of the women’s basketball program.
The report states that a source close to the situation has confirmed the hire.
Newbauer will be coming to Belmont after one season as an assistant under Louisville coach Jeff Walz. The Cardinals finished the season 29-9 and fell to Connecticut in the national championship game.
Before Louisville, Newbauer was an assistant at Georgia from 2007-2012 and spent time on Georgia’s men’s staff from 2003-04 and 2005-7.
Newbauer Belmont athletic director Mike Strickland declined comment.
