The Soda Parlor opens its doors for the first time

Nashville, Tenn. welcomed The Soda Parlor, a brand new soda and apparel store located in the heart of Marathon Village with a weekend long grand opening on Oct. 25-26.

The Soda Parlor is owned and operated by Olan Rogers, a famous YouTube personality and director. The shop offers a variety of hand-picked gourmet sodas, floats made with ice cream from Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams and apparel designed by Rogers.

During the grand-opening weekend, a line of devoted fans and soda connoisseurs stretched out of the building and far into the hallways of Marathon Village. The staff of The Soda Parlor, many of whom are friends of Rogers and often appear in his videos, surprised those in line with pizza and thanked them for waiting.

Rogers was there to greet fans, sign autographs and pose for pictures the entire weekend while saying “open from 10 a.m. until everyone’s met.”

More than 1,200 people came out for the grand opening, many traveling hours just to meet Rogers, visit his newest endeavor and try a delicious float.

The Soda Parlor is currently open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. with extended hours on Friday and Saturday until 8 p.m. The shop will also be open on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Belmont students can receive college discounts on floats and tapped sodas every Wednesday.
