The women’s basketball team rose to the occasion while raising awareness for breast cancer as it pulled together a 57-56 win against Morehead State Saturday night at the Curb Event Center.
After the Bruins lead by 15 at the half, the Eagles strung together a comeback and took the lead at 56-55 with two minutes to go in the game.
Senior Jordan Luffman-Hartsfield found herself at the line with an opportunity to take the lead back in the final seconds.
The senior buried both of her shots which led to a Belmont victory, 57-56.
The Bruins look to continue their three-game win streak on the road against Tennessee Tech Saturday, Feb. 21 at 5:30 p.m.
