Women’s basketball crushes rival Lipscomb 91-59

The Belmont women’s basketball team crushed rival Lipscomb University 91-59 at Allen Arena Monday night.

The Bruins started strong with a 3-pointer by junior guard Darby Maggard and held onto their lead for the rest of the game.

Maggard led the Bruins with 22 points, and six Bruins scored in double digits.

Senior guard Kylee Smith and sophomore forward Maddie Wright both earned double-doubles, leading the team with ten rebounds each.

The Bruins will stay on the road for their next game, taking on Arkansas State on Thursday, Dec. 14.
