The Belmont women’s basketball team earned its 40th straight conference win in a huge 95-62 victory over Eastern Kentucky University in the Curb Event Center Thursday night.
The Bruins, now a nationally ranked team, rallied behind double-digit scoring from junior guard Darby Maggard (26) and senior forward Kylee Smith (23) to dominate the visiting Colonels.
Junior forward Jenny Roy also had an impressive night, earning a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
The Bruins will return to the Curb Event Center Saturday afternoon for a showdown against conference rival Morehead State.
