    ‘Live from North Lawn, it’s Pembroke Night Live!’

    If skit titles like “#FirstManProbs,” “The Good Book of Jobs,” and “Bathroom Encounters” pique your interest, then there was only one place you could have been on Thursday night: the North Lawn. Dubbed Pembroke Night Live –or PNL, for short–the event was, like the show it is modeled after, a combination of live sketches and digital shorts. And all of it was done exclusively by students.     This week, ya need a little twaaaaaang? Well, we’re bringing it when all four contestants of this weekend’s Country Showcase drop by to chat. Plus, Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and we’re celebrating early with a few related convos like “The Valentine’s Day Massacre” and “Cooking For Your Sweetheart.” Then, the second edition of our new segment, “This Week in Ironic BIC Cancellations,” may upset Mrs. Clinton.     Dorms find personalities

    Whether raising money for Haiti, like Maple Hall, or taking bids for a night out with one of the guys, like Pembroke Hall did with a date auction, it seems every freshman dorm has a personality of its own, whether it has been around for decades or for months. Heron Hall, the only all-female freshman dorm, has three floors and the little known basement, affectionately referred to as “the cave” by the lucky residents whose rooms are  down there.
