The bus is visiting all 50 state capitals as part of a 14-month tour. This year will mark the 25th year C-SPAN has used the bus to promote its platform for political news coverage.
The bus teaches students and teachers how to deliver unbiased news with a multimedia presentation center where visitors can interact with C-SPAN’s public affairs content and programing.
Students can also be filmed on C-SPAN’s StudentCam, in order to speak on issues they are passionate about. The videos are then put on C-SPAN social media platforms.
A C-SPAN representative also speaks with at least one state-elected official in each capital it visits. The representative interviews the officials and encourages them to listen to the students’ opinions.
