Chart-topping country artist Eric Church will be rehearsing for the fall leg of his U.S. tour at the Curb Event Center.
The group’s rehearsals should by fairly low-key after several semi trucks and buses finish unloading their material on Thursday, said David Graham, the director of event services at Belmont.
“Oftentimes, the university rents the facility out to external groups for rehearsal,” he said.
Church’s tour is not the first one to use the Curb Event Center to prepare before going on the road. Previously, the school has rented out the arena to Dolly Parton, Sugarland, Keith Urban and Toby Keith for their respective shows.
Bringing these tours to campus has multiple benefits for the school, Graham said.
“It not only helps the university generate money we can put back into programs, but it also exposes out students to the industry,” he said. “It’s a two-fold approach.”
Church will begin the fall leg of his “Blood, Sweat & Beers” tour in Amherst, Mass. on Sept. 13.
