Concert for a cause: bands to help end hunger with upcoming show

Belmont bands and music management companies are uniting on Saturday to not only fill the crowd’s ears with music but to also fill local shelters with food.

Hooligan Recordings and Innovo Management LLC are sponsoring a concert at the High Watt where each band will donate a portion of its proceeds to Rock4Hunger.

Bands participating include Mr. B & The Tribal Hoose, Royal Hoax, Us & Them and Auction the Secret.

Royal Hoax started Rock4Hunger in 2009, and since then the band has raised over 70,000 meals for different homeless shelters, food banks and charity organizations.

“It’s really cool to see a charity paired with a skill set. Playing music and using that to benefit the local and wider communities is very unique,” said Sam Saideman, Innovo Management LLC founder and CEO.

Pre-sale tickets are $3, and tickets at the door are $5. But the show is only 15 tickets away from being sold-out, said Saideman.

Doors will open at 8 p.m., and the show will start at 8:30 p.m.
