Freshman Addison Cartwright is one of the newest additions to Belmont’s women’s soccer team, originating from Alton, Illinois.
Cartwright wears No. 13 and plays center mid. Her soccer career started when she was just 5 years old.
She chose to attend Belmont for a few different reasons.
“Well they have music business, and I’m a music business major,” Cartwright said. “And I just really like the feel of the small university, tight community, but having the big city aspect, so you’ve got the best of both worlds.”
Along with majoring in music business, she is also majoring in marketing.
“I either want to be a publisher or a manager, or something like that,” she said.
Cartwright enjoys music and looking for new artists in her free time, as well as hanging out with other girls on the team.
She joked that they “don’t really have a lot of free time.”
Catch Cartwright and the rest of the women’s soccer team face off against SIUE tonight at 5 p.m. at E.S. Rose Park.
