Belmont freshman Sarah Bossung got her start in soccer at an age younger than most and looks to carry that experience into college.
“I was maybe 3 when my parents signed me up for a rec league and I’ve just stuck with it ever since,” said Bossung.
Before coming to Belmont, Bossung played for the Tennessee Soccer Club and helped the club team to state championships in 2011, 2012 and 2014.
Bossung grew up in Nashville, Tennessee and the ability to play close to home was a major factor in her decision to come to Belmont.
“I love Nashville and I really wanted to stay here,” said Bossung.
When she’s not playing, Bossung enjoys eating, sleeping and watching Netflix.
Bossung can be seen playing on the defensive end for the Bruins in home games at Rose Park. Catch Bossung and the rest of the women’s soccer team Sept. 4 against Valparaiso.
