Meet the new Bruin: Skyler Hayes

Skyler Hayes is a pre-occupational therapy student from Salem, Virginia who joined the Belmont Bruins with passion and a huge smile.

“I love the game. It’s always been a big part of my life,” said Hayes.

Belmont soccer has been a nice challenge for Hayes.

“The playing is more fast-paced and aggressive than high school,” said Hayes.

Hayes commented that a highlight of her season has been going on road trips with the team. On and off the road, Hayes has developed close friendships with her teammates.

“I love having a group of friends built in. There’s always someone to turn and talk to,” said Hayes.

In her free time, Hayes is able to get her homework done, FaceTime her family, hang out with friends and, most importantly, nap.

As hardworking as she is while balancing school, friends and soccer, Hayes also has a silly side.

“People might not know that I hate sneezes and bananas,” said Hayes.
