Nashville Rose Society hosts rose competition on campus

Is it really Parents & Family Weekend if you don’t stop and smell the roses?

The Nashville Rose Society hosted a rose competition on Saturday and Sunday, along with guided tours and workshops, at the Gabhart Student Center.

The society is made up of volunteers like Larry Baird, who has been helping the Nashville Rose Society since 1992.

“We are trying to encourage the public to grow roses and support gardens like the ones on campus,” said Baird.
