Photos: Josh Turner returns to Belmont for chapel

Belmont alumnus Josh Turner hosted chapel on Wednesday, speaking about his time at Belmont, his faith in the music business and the many lessons he’s learned.

Almost a year after the release of his seventh studio album, “I Serve a Savior,” Turner opened chapel with videos about the album’s creation before Dr. Todd Lake invited the country star on stage. Turner’s message focused on the redemptive and spiritual power of music, and how music can change lives.

“I might seem like a good old boy from South Carolina. I might have a little redneck in me. But what I’m doing has a meaning and a purpose, and I’m doing this to make a difference in people’s lives.”
