For this installment, President of the Belmont chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta Mare Rote shared 10 songs she is listening to right now. Rote explains her playlist selections below.
1. “Party” – Beyonce
Just the most underrated Beyonce song there ever was.
2. “Passionfruit” – Drake
I would never forgive myself if I did not put at least one song from “More Life” on here.
3. “Perm” – Bruno Mars
First three songs all started with “P”– I wonder how long I can keep this going. Big fan of this small, talented man.
4. “Finish Line / Drown” – Chance the Rapper
Everyone who knows me knows Chance is my favorite artist of all time, and I’ll never get over “Coloring Book.” My favorite song off of the album changes every single week, so this week, this is the one.
5. “Still Feel Like Your Man” – John Mayer
I’m not ashamed. Loved “Wave One,” loved “Wave Two.” I love John Mayer.
6. “The Last Thing” – Sawyer
I am obsessed with Sawyer. Great human beings, great music, overall just a huge fan. This is my favorite song of theirs. It came out right around this time last year, and I haven’t stopped listening to it since.
7. “Hemingway” – Miki Fiki
The entire EP is ridiculously clever and ridiculously addictive. Listen to it with your windows down, and I dare you not to fall in love with Miki Fiki.
8. “Bacon” – Nick Jonas
I always wanted to marry Nick, but my older cousin claimed him, so I had to pretend like I wasn’t in love with him. We’ve come to the point in our relationship, however, that I would feel comfortable with her knowing that. Alicia, I love Nick. Anyone else reading this, I love this song.
9. “Come Down” – Anderson .Paak

10. “One Week” – Barenaked Ladies
This is my favorite song. Of all time.
