Freshman women’s soccer player Rachel Masterson didn’t have to travel far from her home town of Lexington, Ky. to get to Music City.
The 18-year-old came to Belmont after hearing about the liberal Christian outlook, business program, and of course, soccer, said Masterson.
“I’ve had a great experience, so far, being apart of the soccer team. It’s a really good feeling to be able to play the sport I love with such an awesome group of people,” said Masterson.
When the international business major isn’t studying or defending on the field, she enjoys ENO-ing, going to concerts and reading, said Masterson.
Look for Masterson not only on the field wearing her number 24 jersey, but also next semester scouting extracurricular teams to join like FSA, Enactus and other Belmont organizations.
“I’m thankful for the relationships I’ve made and all I’ve learned about the game so far. This season was definitely a lot of fun and I’m looking forward to the next season,” said Masterson.
Although the women’s soccer season has ended for the semester, check out Masterson this spring and next fall out on the pitch.
