The pharmacy at Belmont, located on the first floor of McWhorter Hall, has temporarily expanded its April hours in response to student requests.
In addition to regular,weekday hours Monday through Friday– from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.– the pharmacy will be open on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
“We wanted to expand our availability to the students,” said pharmacy manager Dr. Adam Pace. “It’s just for the month of April. It is kind of a pilot program to see if the demand is there.”
In the past four years, since Pace has worked at Belmont, the amount of students they receive has double. Students have been requesting that the pharmacy and health services clinic be open on Saturdays, said Pace.
“Administration is hearing that and wants to test it out.”
